Sky Sisters Paragliding

CROSS COUNTRY COLOMBIA
January 14 - 28, 2026
Valle De Cauca & Antqioquia, Colombia
This all women's paragliding adventure is about cross country in the air and on the ground. Have you traveled to Colombia for flying and never been outside of Piedechinche and Roldanillo? Would you like to see more of the culture, countryside, and fly less well known (and less busy) sites? Are you looking to try some longer XC flights or FAI triangles with a small group of supportive female pilots team flying together? Come with us!
We will explore some of the most breathtaking paragliding sites in Colombia on a two week tour through the Cauca Valley and Antioquia. We will fly world famous Roldanillo and other sites of the Cauca Valley but also visit less known, uncrowded places further north in Antioquia. Besides enjoying the views of rainforest mountains, coffee and banana plantations, the Cauca river and beautiful fauna whilst flying, we will also have time to learn about Colombian culture, visit a coffee farm, stroll through a charming mountain village, try exotic fruits and so much more! The tropical climate usually delivers amazing conditions and smooth thermals at this time of the year and it's almost guaranteed that we will collect a lot of time and experience in the air.
We fly together as a family, recognizing that each person’s unique perspective enriches the group as a whole. Paragliding is deeply personal, and we bring that mentality into the adventure, sharing knowledge, airtime, and experience in a supportive and inclusive environment designed to help you take your flying journey to the next level. This trip is ideal for more intermediate/advanced pilots who are also travel enthusiasts who want to log some big flights as well and also take time to experience the other sights and activities that this beautiful area has to offer. We will talk about flight planning, team flying strategy, advanced thermalling, as well as spending time on coffee tours, hikes, and in small mountain villages.
This tour is designed to be as all inclusive and stress free as possible. You can arrive with the peace of mind knowing that all logistics and details are taken care of: simply focus on flying.

Flying Sites
~Valle De Cauca~
Piedechinche:
Thermic conditions begin as early as 10 am and we can fly until sunset! It is a magical place and the perfect flying environment to acclimate and work on our skills by doing local, out-and-return and long one-way flights. Piedechinche has it all to be a world-class flying site with multiple perfectly maintained take-offs with quick access, a huge beginner-friendly landing place (with landing bar!) and a breathtaking rainforest mountain backdrop.
The convenient location, smooth conditions, welcoming local community, and infrastructure makes this the perfect site to start and finish our trip.
Roldanillo:
This is a world renowned paragliding mecca for a reason! Multiple international competitions are held here every year and big FAI triangles are commonly flown. Expect busier take-offs and larger gaggles here, but also lots of information in the air with so many pilots. Located on the east side of the western Andes cordillera, pilots who are motivated to cover large distances and chase records can get airborne very early. We will have to get up and be at launch early to be well on our way before the pacific wind comes over the mountains to the east.
Ansermanuevo:
A gorgeous, perfectly maintained take-off with a restaurant and even a pool, approximately 30 km north of Roldanillo, on the same side of the valley. Here the Pacific wind sets in a bit later than in Roldanillo, giving us more time at launch or even a second chance to fly in case we land early. The drive on one of the old “Willys” that are commonly used for transportation is an adventure itself.

Flying Sites
~Antqioquia & Caldas~
Jerico:
A small, religious, colorful, colonial mountain village that has preserved its traditional architecture and became a pueblo patrimonio (heritage town) in 2013. Right in the charming center we will learn more about coffee (the roasting process), see lots of art (paintings, wood-work, leather craft etc.) and will have the opportunity to buy some souvenirs and enjoy delicious mountain coffee.
Because of its beautiful surroundings, outdoor lovers come here for hiking, horseback riding, waterfall visits and of course paragliding. For their tandem and schooling business but also competitions and paragliding tourism, locals have made a huge effort and built two perfect launch sites. Facing NE, this is not the easiest place to start a XC flight but because of its beauty definitely worth a visit!
La Merced:
Here we have another perfectly maintained grassy launch with a restaurant surrounded by coffee and banana plantations. At this site the wind picks up in the afternoon and allows us to soar, top land and play locally for hours.
Cordoncillo:
In just about half an hour drive from our hotel in La Pintada, partly on the Panamerican Highway towards Medellin, we reach the take-off site of Cordoncillo. Another place with breathtaking views, if not one of the most spectacular landscapes in Colombia. Mountains and more mountains in all directions, some of them in interesting formations, are the landmarks. Conditions here usually allow us to stay in the air for hours.
